Established in 2005 by veteran executive producer/director Sean O’Malley and seasoned writer Jeannine O’Malley, O’Malley Productions is a full-service production company that creates entertaining and acclaimed primetime unscripted television and Web content. From series and specials on Food Network, History Channel, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel, and Animal Planet to branded digital series, we hand craft each and every episode.

Since 2013, O’Malley Productions has brought our creative vision to over 175 episodes of Food Paradise, one of Discovery’s most beloved and longest-running series. The iconic TV grub crawl, featuring the most mouthwatering meals from restaurants across America, is now airing on Cooking Channel every Wednesday night and streaming on Discovery +.

Most recently, O’Malley partnered with celebrity chef Jesus Diaz, from Univision’s Despierta América, to produce 13 episodes of Que Delicia: El Sabor De América. The groundbreaking series is an in-depth exploration of Latin American cuisine in the U.S., and the stories of the people behind the plates for Univision’s streamer ViX.

Recognized for our unique approach to food, O’Malley Productions produces multiple series and specials for Food Network and Cooking Channel. O’Malley partnered with Cooking Channel and celebrity chef Carla Hall to create a whimsical series of holiday shows, including Trick or Eat, Thanksgiving Grubdown, and Christmas Chowdown. Other tasty hits like Kid in a Candy Store, Hungry Detective, Eat This Drink That, and the digital series Food Bites round out our menu of culinary programming.

O’Malley has also teamed up with several networks and notable names to create distinctive, unscripted celebrity projects. Our groundbreaking Animal Planet series, Flipping Ships, showcased pop singer Edwin McCain and his band of quirky builders rehabbing boats left for dead. While Grand Canyon Stories, hosted by actor/comedian Orlando Jones, uncovered a new perspective on the history and mysteries of this natural wonder.

Branded digital content is another specialty of ours, including working with Saatchi & Saatchi/Toyota on a six-episode home renovation program “Projects are Calling,” and Ninja on the six-episode series “Ninja Home Kitchen.”

Our goal isn’t just to entertain, but to inspire. In 2008, O’Malley Productions produced the award-winning PBS documentary Fats Domino: Walkin’ Back to New Orleans. This powerful film, narrated by John Goodman, chronicles the music legend’s triumphant return to the stage two years after being rescued from the rising waters of Hurricane Katrina.

The husband and wife team continues to helm the business, which moved from Los Angeles to Knoxville, Tennessee in 2020. We support a full staff of talented producers, writers, directors, editors, and production personnel, and continue to develop innovative and entertaining content.
